NEW PRODUCT- WELDMONGER® TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE STORAGE TUBE

Hello Welder, We launched a new product! We spent over 2 years developing our Tungsten Electrode Storage Tube.. a lot of back and forth and R&D to say the least... but not only do I think it's going to be handy for any TIG welder to have in the shop, but it will hopefully keep those electrodes clean, dry and organized. Watch my latest video going over tungsten size, and highlighting some of the features from our new Tungsten Storage tube.

Hey, Jody,

Looking forwards to your video on that secondary plume.

You previously came across it in https://youtu.be/ZI3SyGjjbfw (at around 5:45 mins).

I got some shots of the secondary plumes on Page 2 of this topic:

I think you’re definitely onto something: those plumes occur at an abrupt temperature transition. My take on it all is that you should use the largest electrode possible consistent with a stable arc.

An interesting topic that you’ll be able to make a lot of sense with.

Couldn’t find the tungsten holders on the accessories page, price of these handy holders?

I would have never guessed that on size, I have ran into some tungsten problems with water cooled verses gas cooled torches also on tungsten life. Same settings but gas cooled torch tungstens just melt away. I guess thats obvious but didn’t pick up on it at first.
Same welder and settings but different torch.
