I made a stand for my Milwaukee portaband out of scrap aluminum and welded it using 115 volt power.
Building this stand was like making a fixture for a part.
You just have to figure out some touch points and ways for things to wedge into place.
I used scrap aluminum pieces and I decided to try welding it using 115 volt power so I had to pull a few tricks out of the bag like preheat, weld sequence, AC frequency setting, and welding beads on corners to add heat before making actual welds.
The PrimeWeld TIG225 did a really good job on 115 volt power but does even better when you use 230v.

Hi Jody,
I’ve been watching your videos for 10 years. I was sorry to hear about your health diagnosis. I went through the same thing 5 years ago. I had to get car-t treatment but so far I’m doing well in remission which I hope and pray works out the same for you.

Another prostate patient here. I’ve been watching and learning from you for years. I was a CC lab tech for several years, and always told students to watch your videos for greater insight. I hope your treatment is going to see you cancer free. I’m 82 in my twilight years, so It’s easier for me. Best wishes, and thanks for the years of education. Warmest regards, Ray
Dear Jody, thank you for the fantastic videos and I wish you a speedy recovery! Best regards, Robi from Debrecen.

Hi Cuz,
Hadn’t watched any welding videos lately but for some reason when this one popped up on my email i decided to check it out. WOW Sorry to hear about you diagnosis but glad your doing better. My wifes niece went thru the same ordeal with the chemo treatments and the donor marrow, she has now been cancer free for over 5 years. I thought you might of moved to Ponce Inlet by the store address, we have a home just north of there in Port Orange. hope you find a donor soon and get on with the rest of your life cancer free.

Hang tough buddy! You a guiding light for so many, including myself. The word is in short supply of men like your self and I truly appreciate everything you’ve done. Take care and I look forward to the next video and update!
Love and prayers,
Jason
I’ve been watching your outstanding videos for over 15 years. Just an a amateur here, but I have learned more from you than anywhere. Glad to see you are winning the battle. I have also recently finished prostate treatments, and am currently peg-legging around on a blown out knee courtesy of a tripping incident with the dog. Sometimes these houses we live in are not as robust as the stuff we make. But as Andy said, it’s a simple choice: “Get busy living…” Glad to see you are keepin’ on, and wishing you all the best in your continued adventures in St Augustine.
I’m glad to hear of your progress with the leukemia treatments! God is good and I’ll continue to pray for your full recovery.

This is the first I’ve heard. glad to see you still have your great attitude, and I think you have A LOT “left in the tank”. I’ve followed your instructions since (let me check)… well, it would take all day to pull up the saved videos, but they number 241! When I need a refresher (having a problem) I can find the appropriate video and get my ‘ah ha’ moment, usually followed by self admonishment, like “dumbass, you know you learned that from Jody”. Stay well buddy. I’m praying for a complete recovery.
.I made a stand for one f my Prter Cable Porta band saws out of scrap also, all steel. I also added a 12 × 12 table and a fence for straight cuts, Really comes in handy. I wish you continued Blessings with your health and will keep you in my prayers. God Bless You !
