How to TIG Weld Cold Rolled Steel. Bonus video on TIG Welding Steel Tubing

HOW TO TIG STEEL

William Collier |

Using a Furick Ceramic #12 to tig weld corner joints and lap joints.

hope this helps,

Jody

In this video, I am demonstrating how to tig weld cold rolled steel corner and lap joints.

or at least how I do it.

I used a jazzy 10 cup for the corner joints and a furick ceramic 12 for the lap joints.

The corner joints needed around 105 amps using a 1/16" er70s6 filler metal.

er70s6 seems to flow a bit nicer than er70s2 but the main reason I chose er70s6 is because I had a bunch of it.

For the lap joint, I switched to a 12 cup and I increased amperage to 120.
