How to TIG weld Stainless Steel
The first Video on this page shows how to set up the PrimeWeld TIG225x along with how to use the 2t and 4t setting with a tig torch switch.
A torch switch comes with the machine and a lot of folks will just stick it in the tool box and never use it. But it can be very handy when you need to make a bunch of tack welds on a large project. Instead of kicking the foot pedal around, the torch switch makes tack welding easy.
The Second Video shows just how SIMPLE the settings get when you do use a foot pedal. When you plug in the foot pedal, you simply set the 2t 4t switch to 2t and the zero start amps, upslope, downslope, and end amps and make sure the pulse is off and that eliminates most of the knobs making the settings a lot simpler
The Third video shows how you can make a short stick weld in a pinch using the tig torch. The PrimeWeld TIG225x is also a stick welding machine and a stick welding stinger comes standard the machine but what if take the machine to do a portable job and forget your stick stinger? you can still burn a rod or two just by chucking up the rod in the TIG torch. Not something I would recommend doing all the time, but it is an option for emergencies.

My 225X has been going strong in a harsh shop environment (moisture, acid fumes, paint dust) since 2022! Though it's not a production environment, the 225X always gets the job doneand I'be barely used any of the featires the machine offers (pulse, etc). Even in the face of inflation, Primeweld hasn't raised the price of this machine. Jody is an incredible resource and human being and Weldmonger ROCKS! Keep on keepin' on my man!
