"Sanitary Stainless Welding" is the common term that refers to welding for the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and other processing where the inside of the tube or pipe that comes in contact with the product...must be "sanitary".
A good argon purge is the key to a sanitary stainless weld.
The most convenient way to get a purge is with a dual flowmeter.
Another way is to use 2 separate Argon cylinders but if you are on a job site, transporting an extra argon tank is not something you want to do.
A dual flowmeter lets you purge with one side at whatever flow rate you need and also lets you use whatever flow rate you need for the tig torch.
