Jody Here,
I don’t usually share details of my personal life, but this is kind of a big deal.. I thought that as a weldmonger customer, you deserve to know why I haven’t posted any videos in several weeks and also why I look different.
So here is the news:
I have been in the hospital for a month.
“You have leukemia” is not something anyone wants to hear.
But it is the hand I have been dealt.
Yet, I am full of hope.
I know God is by my side and I don’t even have the words to describe how my family rallied around me.
I have a long way to go with more treatments but I have made some great progress already and I am feeling great.
And...I have a great team of doctors at Emory Hospital who think I will make a full recovery.
So what’s next?
Obviously, a life event like this makes a person think more deeply about life.
So I am asking myself the question…”what is the highest and best use of my time and energy going forward?”
One thing I know is that I have really enjoyed contributing to the welding community and I feel like I have more to give.
So just know that the youtube channel and the store will both keep moving forward...
But I am not sure what that is going to look like.
I will continue to post welding videos but you might also see some podcast type videos sprinkled in along with some other different formats.
All I ask is that you bear with me during this time and of course…
Please by all means, Pray for me.
Sincerely, Jody Collier

Jody,
I certainly am praying for you. In April, my wife was diagnosed with dementia as well as suffering a stroke which messed up her speech, the use of her left hand, and her ability to process thoughts and ideas. I am also praying for your wife and family as I now have some idea of what they are going through. Keep up your faith at all costs. One verse that keeps me going is Romans 8:28. I hope this helps.
Jody, you have taught me so much throughout the years, and I thank you for that! I have always loved your videos and I pray you have a full recovery 🙏 you got this!
Hi Jody, I whist you a prompt recovery and effective treatments.
Robert from Canada
Jody…First, as always, a big thanks for all you’ve done, and will continue to do, for the welding community. You’re the go-to guy for many of us.
Second, please know that those of us in the Knoxville area will keep you in our prayers. God has more planned for you, my man.
Best wishes!
Doug

Of course. We’re praying for you, but you have been a great help to me. Thank you for all the things I’ve learned from you.
Hi Jody, tonight (East Coast Australia) just before dinner I saw your email, so my wife and I prayed for you, for your full recovery. By way of encouragement, our pastor received the devastating news at the beginning of 2023 ( I think it was), that he had stage 4 cancer in his leg and lungs, and probably only 2 years to live. The entire church immediately jumped into action with sustained prayer, and rallying around him and his family, as he went through chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Then with a weakened leg muscle from the radiation he fell and broke his hip, which then had to be replaced. It did not look good at all. God is good, and he has had an amazing recovery, back on his feet again and going strong, with an amazing story that is impacting many. The doctors want to do a study on his recovery over the next few years because his recovery was so unexpected. I love your attitude that you’re not done yet, and that you are looking to God, that He has your back. Your videos continue to inspire, thank you. I will keep praying for you. Blessings, David
God keep you strong. I checked out your videos when I needed some tips. I have been welding for 40 years. You have a God given talent to share. Keep it up as long God gives you strength.
Thank you for all the knowledge you have
Given us
You all have our love and prayers andy
I pray for the best my friend. Ten years ago I started watching your videos. I was in a bad place criminal situation and began welding on probation. I watched your videos all the time and they gave me confidence to go out and get it. I’m now a 4th year Pipefitter apprentice now. Thank you for everything you’ve taught to the welding community! Keep up the great work my friend!
Sincerely Tim
