TIG TORCH PARTS
What is up with TIG torches and Parts?& the Numbering System? The TIG torch numbering system (like 9, 17, 20, 26, etc.) seems random to most of us welders...

Take the guesswork out of complex fit-up with the Fireball Tool 3-Axis Square.
Designed for fabrication jobs where a conventional 90° square isn't enough, the 3-Axis Square helps position material perpendicular across three axes at the same time. That makes it especially useful when adding legs to frames, building T-joints, positioning uprights, assembling tubing, or fabricating structures where multiple parts need to remain square to one another.
Built from heavy-duty ductile cast iron with Fireball Tool's Dragon Scale coating, the 3-Axis Square combines multiple precision-machined reference faces, a stable magnetic foot design, and fixture-table compatibility into one serious fabrication tool.
Most welding squares are designed primarily to establish a single 90° relationship.
The Fireball Tool 3-Axis Square goes further.
It allows you to position a third piece of material perpendicular to an existing 90° corner, helping control alignment in three dimensions instead of just two.
This makes it ideal for projects such as:
Table and bench legs
Frames
T-joints
Uprights
Tubing assemblies
Structural frames
Machine bases
Carts
Racks
Welding fixtures
Repetitive fabrication
Multi-axis assemblies
Instead of checking one direction, adjusting the part, and then checking another, the 3-Axis Square gives you solid reference surfaces for controlling multiple directions during fit-up.
One of the most useful applications for the 3-Axis Square is adding a third member to an existing 90° corner.
Think about welding a leg onto the corner of a table frame.
The leg needs to be perpendicular to both sides of the frame—not just one.
The 3-Axis Square provides the reference surfaces needed to position that third member and hold it perpendicular while you clamp and tack the assembly.
The Fireball design isn't limited to sitting outside a corner.
Move the square inside the assembly and use it to hold material along an edge.
That gives you more flexibility when dealing with complicated frames or situations where surrounding material prevents you from placing a conventional square exactly where you'd normally want it.
The 3-Axis Square features a narrow 1" wide foot design.
That thin profile allows the square to reach into tighter gaps and helps you establish an outside square reference even when other pieces of material are positioned close together.
This can be particularly useful on complex tubing assemblies where there isn't much room for bulky fixturing.
The square also incorporates pass-through space with plenty of welding clearance for T-joints.
That means you can use the square to position the material while still maintaining access to the joint for tack welding.
Instead of getting everything aligned and then immediately removing your reference tool just to reach the joint, the open design gives you room to work around the setup.
Both versions of the Fireball 3-Axis Square feature four precision-machined faces on the inner and outer sides.
These machined surfaces provide accurate references for positioning and aligning your material during fabrication.
That gives you multiple ways to orient the square depending on the geometry of the project.
The 1" wide feet incorporate magnets to help stabilize the square on ferrous steel surfaces.
Fireball also designed the square with balance in mind to help resist tipping.
That makes positioning the tool easier while you're getting material, clamps, and the rest of your fabrication setup into place.
The Fireball Tool 3-Axis Square is designed to integrate with welding fixture tables.
Tapped holes in the feet allow the square to be aligned using pins on 2" grid fixture tables.
Fireball offers configurations for:
5/8" pins
3/4" pins
16mm pins
28mm pins
You can also purchase the Square Only if you don't need an included pin set.
This makes the 3-Axis Square a versatile option whether you're working on a Fireball fixture table or integrating it into another compatible welding-table setup.
The Standard version provides a maximum outside-face height of approximately:
4"
Additional specifications include:
3-Axis clamping
Four precision-machined faces on inner and outer sides
Ductile cast iron construction
Dragon Scale coating
1" wide magnetic feet
Tapped feet for fixture-table pin alignment
Approximately 20 lb
The Standard is a great choice for general tubing, frame, bench, and fabrication work where you want three-axis control without the additional size and weight of the XL.
For larger fabrication projects, choose the XL 3-Axis Square.
The XL increases the maximum outside-face height to approximately:
7"
Additional specifications include:
3-Axis clamping
Four precision-machined faces on inner and outer sides
Ductile cast iron construction
Dragon Scale coating
1" wide magnetic feet
Tapped feet for fixture-table pin alignment
Approximately 35 lb
The additional height and mass make the XL better suited to larger tubing and more substantial fabrication projects.
Both versions are built from ductile cast iron, giving the 3-Axis Square the substantial feel and stability you'd expect from a serious fabrication fixture.
The added mass is especially useful when setting up larger material where a lightweight square can easily move or tip while you're positioning the workpiece.
The cast iron body is protected by Fireball Tool's Dragon Scale coating.
Fireball designed Dragon Scale to provide:
Superior anti-spatter properties
Improved corrosion resistance
Enhanced wear resistance
Those are important characteristics for tooling that spends its life around welding tables, grinding dust, hot spatter, clamps, and steel fabrication.
Choose the 3-Axis Square configuration that matches your welding table:
Square Only
Square with 5/8" Pins
Square with 3/4" Pins
Square with 16mm Pins
Square with 28mm Pins
Then select either the Standard or XL square.

Building something square in two dimensions is one thing.
Keeping a third leg, upright, or crossmember perpendicular at the same time is where fabrication gets more complicated.
The Fireball Tool 3-Axis Square gives you multiple precision-machined reference surfaces for controlling those setups while leaving room to clamp and weld your parts.
Whether you're building tables, frames, carts, racks, or complex tubing assemblies, it's a purpose-built fixture for the jobs where a traditional welding square simply isn't enough.
Square the corner. Position the third axis. Clamp it. Tack it. Build on.
