I don’t usually share details of my personal life, but this is kind of a big deal.. I thought that as a weldmonger customer, you deserve to know why I haven’t posted any videos in several weeks and also why I look different.
So here is the news:
I have been in the hospital for a month.
“You have leukemia” is not something anyone wants to hear.
But it is the hand I have been dealt.
Yet, I am full of hope.
I know God is by my side and I don’t even have the words to describe how my family rallied around me.
I have a long way to go with more treatments but I have made some great progress already and I am feeling great.
And...I have a great team of doctors at Emory Hospital who think I will make a full recovery.
So what’s next?
Obviously, a life event like this makes a person think more deeply about life.
So I am asking myself the question…”what is the highest and best use of my time and energy going forward?”
One thing I know is that I have really enjoyed contributing to the welding community and I feel like I have more to give.
So just know that the youtube channel and the store will both keep moving forward...
But I am not sure what that is going to look like.
I will continue to post welding videos but you might also see some podcast type videos sprinkled in along with some other different formats.
All I ask is that you bear with me during this time and of course…
Please by all means, Pray for me.

I have learned much from your videos—I’d say I’m “self taught” but actually, you have been my mentor and teacher.

Praying for you Jody! You’re one of the reasons I’ve been able to improve my welding so much in school and even after I graduated. I absolutely love how educational your videos are. Thank you so much for helping to teach me so many minute details about welding. I look forward to whatever the next video is, and trying to learn from it.
I am so sorry to hear of your plight. Yes I will forever pray for you I can honestly say you have made the biggest difference in my life through all your welding instructions, positive up lifting out look toward all that Know you. You have a gift and have given it freely through out your life this is the greatest gift any of us has to offer. I teach welding. I know the feeling when a student; “gets it” Thank you for my self and All of us that know the feeling. If anything keep giving know matter what!! Love and care Ron Sutton

Good God Jody for sure when I saw you with “The Haircut” I seemed to went into prayer warrior mode! I’l be 69 soon and seen so many family and fiends go thru wat you are going thru. You can res asured I and many other of your friends and customers will keep you in constant prayers. Jody, we have the perfect healer in Jesus! Just had a 5 vessel heart bypass myself and experiencing many new life challenges as well. There is still new life calling. Best wishes and healing prayers coming to heaven for you! Larry Upjohn

Jody, you have been prayed for and you will be prayed for Christian brother. God is able and He will do it. My 11 year old grandson has Leukemia but hopefully at his next check, he will be in full remission and will get to “ring the bell”. That day will come for you too Jody.

Many battles must be fought, but YOU WILL WIN this war! 8 yrs and 9 mo. ago, I was given between 6-12 months to live. Well, I’m here, messaging you! I want to be messaging you, and you back to me in another 8yrs 9 months. Never give up! Even when tired and you don’t think you have any more…FIGHT!!! Stay STRONG JODY!!! You Got this!!!
