Jody Here,
I don’t usually share details of my personal life, but this is kind of a big deal.. I thought that as a weldmonger customer, you deserve to know why I haven’t posted any videos in several weeks and also why I look different.
So here is the news:
I have been in the hospital for a month.
“You have leukemia” is not something anyone wants to hear.
But it is the hand I have been dealt.
Yet, I am full of hope.
I know God is by my side and I don’t even have the words to describe how my family rallied around me.
I have a long way to go with more treatments but I have made some great progress already and I am feeling great.
And...I have a great team of doctors at Emory Hospital who think I will make a full recovery.
So what’s next?
Obviously, a life event like this makes a person think more deeply about life.
So I am asking myself the question…”what is the highest and best use of my time and energy going forward?”
One thing I know is that I have really enjoyed contributing to the welding community and I feel like I have more to give.
So just know that the youtube channel and the store will both keep moving forward...
But I am not sure what that is going to look like.
I will continue to post welding videos but you might also see some podcast type videos sprinkled in along with some other different formats.
All I ask is that you bear with me during this time and of course…
Please by all means, Pray for me.
Sincerely, Jody Collier

Wow brother, that’s some devastating news to hear. I just wanna thank you for all that you have done over the years and are still going to do in the future. I have been watching you almost since the beginning. You have helped me in so many ways and I have learned so much from you. I am sure that you will come back even stronger! Godspeed!!! and take care !!💪🏼💪🏼
Hi Jody,
Your proactive attitude and faith in God will make all the difference and will have a profound impact whatever the outcome may be!
You’re in great hands and an wonderful example for many, myself included!
Keep on keeping on!
All you offer and do is greatly appreciated!!
Just a quick note from a crusty old German, who has greatly profited from what you’ve shared in the past, and I’m looking forward to many more years to come!!!
You’re in my prayers!!!
Wolfgang
You are a huge part of my welding journey! I always refer to Welding tips and tricks when I have reached a crossroad in how a weld should be processed. God Speed and prayers for a fast and full recovery.
You are about to be restored if you believe in Jesus Christ. I was diagnosed with leukemia in 2017 and Jesus healed me and He is going to heal all his children very soon, so stay at peace, His promises are on the way and he is the same yesterday, today and forever, Amen.
God speed! My brother has it also. The doctors are baffled why he is still alive. June will be nine years. He hasn’t wasted any of it. He’s dealing with the consequences of the medication he takes for a mere $22,000 a month. I wish you well and do what’s best for you. Family comes first, God bless.
So sorry to hear about your sickness, get well 🙏🙏🙏
wishing you the best on your leukemia and your chemo it is a journey that you can over come or reach a level that it stays under control best of luck
PS my wife went through Brest cancer and she is still her and beat it keep positive and keep on going forward one step at a time
Brother Jody, thank you for all the you have imparted over the years. I’m thankful for all the knowledge & wisdom you’ve shared. You are in my thoughts & prayers. Hold on to what is good, remain strong in yourself & steadfast in your faith. You’ve got this!

💪✝️❤️
Wishing you well and will pray for you!
Don’t ever give up!

Been subscribed to your channel since around 2010 so throughout my welding career I’ve counted on learning and practicing what you teach. I was introduced to the weldmonger channel at Clovis Community College by Shaun Poindexter and it has helped in my continuing education as it still does. Definitely praying for you Jody. I’ve come a long way from painter drywaller to welder of various processes and a lot of knowledge I possess has been impacted by your work. Thank you for freely sharing your knowledge I aspire to hopefully be as knowledgeable and capable as the examples you have shared over the years.
Hey Jody,Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I myself was diagnosed with a acute myeloid leukemia 4 1/2 years ago, I went through lots of chemo and eventually had a stem cell transplant(sister was the donor) last check up all the blood work was normal! Chemo was tough but the worst part was how they scare about all the potential side effects which for me it was minimal thank God! had lots of people praying for me which I will do for you! Stay strong you’ve got this!!
Hey Jody I’m so sorry to hear this I’ve been a subscriber to your you tube channel and I’ve been a customer of yours I pray that you get through this you have been a great help to me so brother be strong and know that a lot of people out hear we are praying for you god bless my brother
