Jody Here,
I don’t usually share details of my personal life, but this is kind of a big deal.. I thought that as a weldmonger customer, you deserve to know why I haven’t posted any videos in several weeks and also why I look different.
So here is the news:
I have been in the hospital for a month.
“You have leukemia” is not something anyone wants to hear.
But it is the hand I have been dealt.
Yet, I am full of hope.
I know God is by my side and I don’t even have the words to describe how my family rallied around me.
I have a long way to go with more treatments but I have made some great progress already and I am feeling great.
And...I have a great team of doctors at Emory Hospital who think I will make a full recovery.
So what’s next?
Obviously, a life event like this makes a person think more deeply about life.
So I am asking myself the question…”what is the highest and best use of my time and energy going forward?”
One thing I know is that I have really enjoyed contributing to the welding community and I feel like I have more to give.
So just know that the youtube channel and the store will both keep moving forward...
But I am not sure what that is going to look like.
I will continue to post welding videos but you might also see some podcast type videos sprinkled in along with some other different formats.
All I ask is that you bear with me during this time and of course…
Please by all means, Pray for me.
Sincerely, Jody Collier

Just to let you know that I am praying for you and hoping for your speedy recovery. You still have a lot more information to share with your subscribers. You are a master at welding and I have learned so much from your videos. Enjoying the Primeweld 325 and accessories I got from you in December. Best Regards, Fred Roswell, GA
Praying for you and your family Jody. Thank you for all you do!! Much respect sir…🙏🏻
Proud of you keep up the fight and research diet, it’s so helpful, you have a lot to share still
I’m sorry to hear that you have a horrible disease and I’m glad that you are responding to the chemo. I wish you a full recovery and excellent health moving forward <3 God speed
Hi Jody,
I’ve been an avid fan of your videos and YouTube channel for several years and I’ve learned so much about welding from you. If only I could weld like you!
I understand all too well the effect your illness has on you and your family – we lost my Dad suddenly and unexpectedly to chronic lymphocytic leukemia only 4 days ago. He was recovering from surgery and having radiotherapy for another cancer when his underlying CLL compromised his immune system leading to viral pneumonia and respiratory failure.
It’s great to hear that you’re making good progress. I sincerely hope that you make a full recovery. My thoughts are with you and your loved ones.
I look forward to seeing more content from you in the future, whatever form it may take.
In the mean time, take things easy and get well. You, your health, and your loved ones are the most important things to take care of.
Warmest Regards,
Graeme

Hi Jody, I am a DIY learning welder in Canada British Columbia. I have been following you for some time. Watching you weld is like art. My welding is not too bad for TIG or MIG but have not used stick for awhile.
Sorry to hear about your illness. I am confident you will recover fully and keep laying beautiful beads so we can continue learning from a pro. Thanks for all you do and I will keep you in my prayers. Hang in there!!!
Get well soon will say a prayer for your recovery.
I’ve been going through my own struggles too and have been forced into early retirement.
Wish you all the best and a speedy recovery, hopefully they will find a suitable donor match for you just in case you need a bone marrow transplant.
Gods speed for a quick recovery, Jody. As a recent cancer survivor, I know what you are going through. Between you, your doctors and God…you got this!
Cheers,
Kevin
Jody,
Keep your chin up brother and keep on with the good fight. You will be in my prayers my friend. All your hard work teaching others is greatly appreciated and we need you back but get healthy first.
Wishing the best for you and praying for you, Jody. Always love watching your videos and have learned a lot from you. Also, love your store and buying from it and certainly will continue buying from it.
God speed

I’m sorry to hear of your difficult news. I’m just an amateur “hobby” welder, but I have gotten more out of your videos and instruction than anywhere else. I want to thank you and also to wish you the best and a speedy and thorough recovery. You will be in my prayers and I look forward to more of your advice and lessons. Take care and keep the bead flowing!
