TIG TORCH PARTS
What is up with TIG torches and Parts?& the Numbering System? The TIG torch numbering system (like 9, 17, 20, 26, etc.) seems random to most of us welders...

The Fireball Tool Mantis Grip Pliers rethink the traditional locking plier with an offset design built specifically for welding, fabrication, fit-up, and metalworking.
Instead of using two similarly sized arms like conventional locking pliers, the Mantis Grip uses one large arm and one compact arm. This unique geometry gives you more flexibility when clamping around tubing, plate, fixtures, and fabricated assemblies—especially when standard locking pliers simply get in the way.
Whether you're fitting up a frame, holding parts for tack welding, or working around an awkward joint, the Mantis Grip is designed to give fabricators better access while maintaining a strong, secure hold.
Traditional locking pliers work great—until the shape of the project gets in the way.
The large offset arm on the Mantis Grip allows the pliers to step over material, helping you reach clamping points that can be difficult or impossible to access with conventional pliers.
On the opposite side, the compact arm fits into tighter spaces where a full-size clamp arm would interfere with the workpiece.
Simply changing the orientation of the pliers can also create a low-profile clamping setup, keeping more of the tool out of your work area and giving you better access for welding, grinding, measuring, and fit-up.
The Mantis Grip is especially useful when working with:
Square and rectangular tubing
Plate and flat bar
Frames and fabricated assemblies
Welding tables and fixtures
Sheet metal
Tack welding and fit-up
Tight or obstructed clamping locations
The offset design makes these pliers a versatile addition to any welding table, fabrication shop, service truck, or home workshop.
Fireball Tool adds even more versatility with a threaded clamping end.
The included threaded bolt can serve as the clamping contact surface, or the threaded connection can be used as a starting point for creating custom jaws, pads, fixtures, or application-specific attachments.
For fabricators who regularly build custom tooling and fixtures, this opens up plenty of possibilities beyond what you'd get from a conventional pair of locking pliers.
