FURICK CUPS in ACTION WITH TIG TIPS

This video is a quick summary of each cup with applications and tips.

Michael Furick is a motorsports fabricator who created a high quality line of TIG cups along with other tools and gear for welders and fabricators.

I met Michael at the 2014 Fabtech in Atlanta where he handed me a clear fupa12 cup to try out.

I tried it out and I liked it a lot.

Furick adapter kit for 17, 18, 26 style torches

ALLY #5 COMBO KIT WITH BOTH CLEAR AND PINK CUP

Furick Hardware kit for 9/20 style torches with o ring groove for clear cups

The Ally #5 cup is a clear #5 and the main use is for aluminum when a standard collet body #5 cup would be used. The main benefit over a pink ceramic #5 is visibility…the way the cups lights things up like a light bulb.

#7 AND #8 PRO CLEAR FURICK CUPS

The #7 and #8 pro clear furick cups light things up really well too and are both great all around cups where you need a fairly long stickout as well as great gas coverage from the gas lens.

JAZZY 10 AND FUPA 12

The Jazzy 10 and Fupa12 both come in both ceramic and clear glass versions. I lean toward the ceramic versions of both these cups for 4130 chromoly, stainless, inconel, and even some small titanium tasks.

The MK 14 comes in both ceramic and clear as well and is similar to a cup I used for aerospace testing on low alloy steels, PH stainless steels, nickel based alloys, titanium, cobalt alloys, and even niobium.

That cup became a favorite in several shops..especially for Hastelloy X and Haynes 188 hot section parts.

BBW SG19 CLEAR AND CERAMIC

The BBWSG-19 is a #16 cup and is used in both motorsports and aerospace industries for stainless, inconel, and titanium.

The BBW needs a gas flow of 35-40 cfh and is often used for welding expensive alloys like titanium or inconel used in aerospace, automotive, and motorsports components.

Torch Compatibility

For 9 and 20 Series Torches: These cup fit directly onto a standard 45V44 gas lens with threads or o ring…or a better option is a furick 9/20 gas lens.. The Furick Gas Lens for #9 and #20 TIG torches (often corresponding to standard CK Worldwide numbers like 45V43 or 45V44) features a custom O-ring groove cut into the threads. This design allows for dual-mounting, meaning you can either slip on a glass cup using the O-rings or remove the O-rings and thread on ceramic cups.

For 17, 18, and 26 Series Torches: You will need a 17,18,26 Furick adapter kit that utilizes a USA made furick gas lens with o ring groove allowing for mounting of both clear and ceramic furick cups. This adapter kit also includes a furick wedge collet that is practically indestructible, o rings, and insulators for both CK and non CK torches.
