Great video and instruction at usual! Question: for your tungsten when welding aluminum, do you have to use a grinding wheel dedicated to Al, or can you use the same stone you used for carbon steel? And the Tungsten itself – does it have to be dedicated to Al, or can you just use your same stick? (Assuming you’ve ground any previous dip off the tungsten). – Thanks!

It would be something great to have for a home welder.

77 years young and still learn things from your videos. That welder would look sweet on my workbench. Keep up the good work.

I love this site for showing what is needed to make a good weld. My dad started showing me how to stick weld with his Century 21 machine then mig when he got a Miller back in the 1970’s. I’ve always wanted to learn tig mostly because it looks so professional. I don’t want to waste a bunch of time and money starting with some cheaper stuff and growing into the skill level. I’d much rather start off with equipment that doesn’t limit me and have control over the machine and understand how it affects the weld. Then I can feel confident that I’m the only weak point in the process.
